Interests

Coffee — A devoted latte person. Currently working on latte art — the swan pattern remains a work in progress, but commitment to attempting it has never wavered.

Cooking — The long-term dream is unashamedly domestic: cooking daily for someone I love. A self-described culinary originalist — new recipes always start with the most traditional, authentic preparation before any personal adaptations are considered. That said, strong opinions exist on ingredient sourcing, knife selection, and wok seasoning.

Investing — A long-term investor at heart, with an appetite for event-driven short-term trades and a working knowledge of options strategies. Portfolio spans equities, fixed income, gold, Bitcoin, and a few markets that require explaining at dinner parties. One bad trade that became a learning experience. Possibly more than one.

Credit Cards — Points optimization, welcome bonuses, and an appreciation for card design — rare finishes, limited editions, and anything that photographs well.

Aviation — Keeps a flight log (yes, some of us still do). Collects Delta trading cards. Redeems credit card points for business class — because if the points exist, they should be used well.

Travel — Documented through photography, with a focus on landscapes and the kind of street scenes that only make sense once you’re already there.
